General Information

The OU Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) is one of four comprehensive health centers in the nation with seven health professional Colleges.  The seven Colleges include the Colleges of Medicine, Allied Health, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and the Graduate College. The OUHSC employs about 3,000 faculty and staff and approximately 3,000 students are enrolled in more than seventy undergraduate and graduate degree programs in the Center's colleges.

Facilities Management and Capital Planning is a department under Administration and Finance, with reporting responsibilities to the Vice President for Administration and Finance as well as to the Senior Vice President and Provost for the Health Sciences Center and the President for OU-Tulsa operations. The Department is responsible for facility space inventories and analyses, space management, real estate acquisition and disposition, development of contracts and leases for certain OUHSC properties, and capital planning among other responsibilities. 

The primary goals of Facilities Management and Capital Planning is to ensure that space owned or occupied by the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center is properly managed and budgeted as a capital asset, and that appropriate facility planning is done.
